About Caroline

After a corporate career spanning over 35 years, it took a sabbatical, including to a Camino through Northern Spain, to reflect and follow on with The Business of People.

Experience

01

After considering careers in medical technology or air traffic control, Caroline found her calling in human resources. Over the years, she carved a career with major hospitality players including Hyatt International in Australia, the Jumeirah Group in the United Arab Emirates, Hilton Worldwide overseeing Middle East and Africa, and most recently as Chief People Officer for Minor Hotels, with a global remit responsible for over 20,000 team members.

Caroline’s time at Minor Hotels marked a significant transformation. When she joined, the company was a budding Asian chain operating fewer than 15 hotels. Over the course of 12 years, Minor Hotels evolved into a global conglomerate of over 530 properties, spas, shopping plazas, luxury residential developments, amusement venues and the owner of the Asian Institute of Hospitality Management School.

In recognition of her exceptional experience, Caroline was awarded Leader of the Year (over 500 employees) by Investors in People in 2019.

Values & Beliefs

02

Post-COVID marked the end of an era in the corporate world. To make full use of Caroline’s experience, strengths and passion it became clear that she needed to re-think and re-align her future path which prompted the decision to create a new chapter.

Companies are in business to make profits. Full-stop. But getting the people formula right will ensure that your business out-performs your competitors and that your people will be best ambassadors. It’s a long-term investment and one that will ensure a sustainable business. .
